Heart and Mitten (sounds like the title of a...
I’ve got lots of little projects on the go lately. I made this bunting for some friends who just had a baby.
These are the 1st of a set of little advent bags I’m making- think they’ll be done by December1?
Astrid made these the other day when she tried sewing for the first time. Keepers-forever-ers, I’d say. (Heart and mitten.)
And I’ve...

Så blir det snö
So it snows
So it snows
So it snows in town
And the children play there in the snow
They play there all day long
Night quiet
Late at night the house is mine. It’s wonderfully quiet. All my scatterbrained thoughts from the day get time to settle like dust particles in sunlight. It’s soothing. No interruptions, no everyday concerns, no responsibilities. Just me, in my own cosy night-time world: thinking, dreaming, writing, sketching down ideas, going through images, crafting, sewing, drinking tea, or just...

I cannot see fairies; I dream them.
Got out for a little walk at Public Gardens. It was so different from in the summer.
More stark, barren, and subdued. Not without beauty, though you had to look for it a little more.

This dog got drawn
So there was a bit of a lapse here. And we did a million little things, made and cleaned up so many messes. This dog got drawn. And Astrid wrote her name for the first time. And Erik Axel started walking.
Amidst all these everyday things I’m here somewhere, scatterbrained, distracted, trying to keep up, trying to catch up, trying to simplify, trying to prioritize, trying to take it...

Start at the beginning, when you get to the end...
Craft project piles. Collected scraps waiting for their magic hour. You’re gonna be made into something, my dears.

Tangles
There are so many little things that make up your life. That add up to a day. How long did I spend looking for the carrot peeler today? Wringing out Axel’s socks he threw into the toilet? Hanging out laundry? Sitting at the daycare parent’s meeting? It all adds up, and it’s your life and yet…so much of it I don’t even think about. While I’m doing it or ever...

Space
Have been out gallivanting. This is Clam Harbour Beach, where we went to pick cranberries the other day.
I love beach parks when they’re deserted once the weather gets cold. All boarded up and ready for winter. But here we are, and it’s ours. And there’s so much SPACE. I love this space. It’s why I leave the city so often. At least once a week. To get back that...

Ice Kim Cone
Here’s a quick review of noteworthy candy received this Halloween. This one wins the Weird (and Creepy) prize.
Next up, winner of the Gross prize: The Sour Burger.
In the Nostalgia Evoking category we have a tie: a modernized Fun Dip (“äckelgott” as Per would call it- “disgusting-good”) and some classics, Tootsie Roll and Rockets.
These ones win...
